Entering the first room we would say that there is a predominant symbol. This is no other but the shadow- the shadow without a man bearing it, in other words the trace of a man without his presence. These shadows are integrated in landscapes of decomposition, dissolution or even utter ellipticity without distinguishing marks. In the paintings, the shadows indicating existence but not presence are projected on compositions from newspapers, a material suggesting speech as information but perhaps not as knowledge. Opposite the paintings, the projection of a video completes this conception of the cancelled human existence, placing a plethora of single shadows to walk one after another on a road without surroundings, perpetually and endlessly, without a destination or a starting point.
